Heartbreaker

You said “I’d break her heart”

As if I’d just fall apart

If for some reason you were to leave

You know I wear my heart on my sleeve

So when I say this know I mean it

I’d be fine should I take the hit

I’ve done it before, can’t be worse than that

So don’t come at me with your chitchat

Of how I would fall for you and never turn back

As if you’re in my veins and causing a heart attack

When really I’d probably make the tables turn

In reality causing your heart to burn

So don’t go asking me if I’m ready for this

Before you take a look in the mirror or go in for a kiss

Are you willing to risk your heart shattering in two?

I’m a heartbreaker, that’s my view

So you, boy, better step up your game

I’m looking for a man to change my last name

And I’m willing to “risk” it with you

The guy that claims he can break my heart in two

Through a chuckle I mumble back to you

“Let’s try this out, this something new.”
